    Casbolts Honda fails again

Recently got my fiance into riding, she bought a cbr125 brand new, went to casbolts honda (in chch) first, they were not very welcoming or appear interested in helping her. So we went to hamton honda, which is much further away but came out smiling with a brand new bike and gear. Perfect. Now my fiances friend is looking to purchase a new bike to learn and commute on and she loves the VTR250, so off she went to casbolts... Same problem again, they didnt appear to want to help her with all the questions she had regarding the bike and gear, they "couldnt give her any gear" at all, not even an fing helmet, while still wanting $8900 for the bike! So off to hampton honda where she got the bike for $8400 with $700 worth of free gear aswell. And the best part is the friendly, helpfull staff. Ive been riding hondas for over 10 years and quite often had to unwillingly deal with casbolts, but when hampton came along a few years ago, i will now drive across town to get honda service. Cmon casbolts, cheer up eh...

I don't believe it! Casbolts Honda have some of the most friendly staff anywhere! The old guy that owns the place is awesome, always happy for you to sit on the bikes and try their gear on... always happy to cut a deal too. The guy behind the parts counter isn't an abrubt arsehole at times either. I was really happy about getting my brand new Honda from there... it made me really happy to repay them for all the awesome service I had when I was a teenager just starting into bikes... they were always polite and never treated me like I was some sort of potential theif who was never going to buy a new bike every couple of years once I graduated. Go Casbolts Honda, you're really awesome.

what he said. I didnt use a dealer 80km away when buying a brand new Honda road bike a few years ago because of issues years before either.

I bought a bike of Casbolts when they were in New Regent St, and Craig still greets me by name. They seem like good guys although Greg can be a bit abrupt and old Graham Casbolt is a grumpy old bugger
Don't blame me, I voted Green.

Because most people that get good service just go home, sit back and crack a beer. People who get shit service feel the need to vent.

I think that studies have shown that good service experiences get told to six people whereas bad service is in the mid twenties.

These specs are pre internet so the goal posts have shifted somewhat, but you get the idea.

Therefore it would make sense to put 3-4 times the effort into giving good service than the usual "can't be arsed bro" sort. Innit?

It's not the staff who get the profits, therefore they usually don't care. I've worked in a shop before so I know the whole "Can't be phucked helping" attitude.

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all. The staff's share of the profits are actually called wages, cos with no profits there ain't no wages.

There's a reason it's called "Hired help" and not "Hired can't be phucked help"

Many is the time I have been a customer at some establishment or another and commented "If that person worked for me, they wouldn't be..."
