Henderson Fours at Pukekohe Classics this weekend

ONE OF THE MAIN FEATURES AT THE PUKEKOHE CLASSICS THIS WEEKEND IS THE 100YRS SINCE THE HENDERSON WAS FIRST BUILT.

I just fired up one of my Hendersons ready to take up to the Pukekohe Classics this weekend. Dunno how I'm going to get the sidecar in the van but that'll be tommorows problem.
Second kick after about four years not running, running ok but not sweet so found a bit of rust on one of the pivots in tHE points assembly and now we're set.

Now that is just awesome! Saw my first Henderson 4 a few years ago at the Sammy Miller Museum and couldn't walk away from it. That one was concourse, and as much as i appreciate that starting with a basket case there isn't much else you can do, yours just looks so much better. Thanks for posting a pic and for keeping it how it should be!

that bike in millers museum came from palmerston north, I managed to get the original wingnut for the tool box off it, make up new ones so he had a pristine one and I had an original.
My bike has had donor parts from 52 different machines, including that wingnut, but not including the variuos nuts and bolts used, to get it in this condition.
Done a few restorations but 'making bits look like they've always been on teh bike was the hardest and most satisfying task I've done.
be good to do a few laps of puke on it

Thats a cool little tale, guess its a small world! Veteran stuff has always intrigued me,what you guys do is in a different league to my stuff. I'm not sure i would have the patience required or be able to hold myself back. If you get it around the track be sure and add some pictures!
