Calling out to all FJ1100/1200 owners

Now I know that I haven't posted anything for a while... But I was looking at my Fj1200 today and thinking to myself that Despite its age it's still an AWESOME Bike to Own.

It just so happens that earlier today i was cagin' it in to Kerikeri with the Little lady and pulled into my Local BP and came across another rider fueliing his FJ at the bowser.

This came as quite a surprise as I don't see many Fj's around and hardly any in Northland.

I almost felt compelled to rush over and greet him as "brother" but the sight of a six foot tall,200 kg plus maniac rushing across the forecourt towards him might have come across as a "little PYSCO"

Instead, I sat there ogglin his ride wondering whether he shared the same passion for the FJ that I do... (Oops, sorry more of the Pysco thing i mentioned earlier)

Anyhow It got me thinking and inspired me to post this thread.

I wonder there be enough of these "Legends" around to meet up for a Group ride or in fact whether there would be enough interest.

I know that the FJ's glory days are long past but just once I would be keen to ride with a couple of FJ's instead of the usual assortment of GXrs and Kwaka's that I normally accompany.

If you are out there and KEEN let me know or join the FJ riders group.

Glory days long past ... wash your mouth out sonny ...

It's just those "others" you mentioned just dont realise the FJ's full potential.

I would love a ride in the company of other FJ stalwarts ... if the time and location suited.

They're never happy ... and late march the weather is usually pretty settled. Traffic numbers down then too ...

Might be a bit cooler than the norf though ... but good gear will see to that.

Maybe a South Island FJ TOUR 2011... mmmm

Between the summer and ski season ... (March) the "odd" bit of rain occurs ... (think Rain Forest)

You did mention summit like that ...

Three weeks .... there'll be bugger all of the mainland you will miss, in that time. Mind you ... one week of that will be fighting your way through the cops and traffic (both ways)of Sky City ... (Jaffa land)

If ya stay off highway one down here ... you can stop on the side of the road for a pee ... and not get arrested ...

It's a rat-race in the south ... but the rats run a little slower down here...

OH ... bring ya passport ...

I see by the lack of response that there can't be too many of these good old girls left out in Motorcycle land.....
Nevermind I'll have to stalk to next Fj rider I come across and demand he call me Brother
