Buell 1125R
Just had my bike serviced @ AMPS yesterday & was keen for a ride on the new 1125CR but alas it's not ready for test rides, they want to put higher bars & stuff on it. Not much point on having 2 demo's with the same riding position. Was offered the 1125R instead, oh all right then if I must.
Now I've got a bit of a vee twin bent thing going on for a number of years having owned a Ducati,MotoGuzzi,2 Aprilia's & onto my second KTM Super Duke.Have test ridden afew aswell, really loved the RC8.
I'm sort of over the sports bike thing (for now) & found the seating positon rather comfortable, need to adjust the gear lever for better feel. Long story short, took her out on my normal test ride circuit I must say I was pleasantly supprised. Man does this thing haul arse up in the rev range, 145hp @ the crank I'm not supprised, most impressive, well done Mr Buell.
Was warned about the front break needing a little heat in her to work properly, handled not too bad, never pushed her hard enough to find the common compaint of the front wheel wanting to tuck under.
At the end of the day, a bloody neat motorcycle (motor), definately good bang for your buck if vee twins are your thing.
Still pig ugly, but hey, who looks @ the mantle piece when you stoking the fire !
As mad as a spider, and twice as hairy !
