I need some mechanical help

In the process of pulling down my bike for a top end rebuild have gone and done the absurd.... One of the nuts to remove the cylinder is stripped and what makes it worse it is the one in the hardest place to get to (under the RC valve cover).

Anyone have suggestions or keen to lend a hand getting it off? Right now I'm at an end....

I have seen these cool spanners at bunnings that have say a 14mm spanner or socket but its almost a screw type fitting that grips the nut as ya apply pressure

I had an allen key bolt strip and it was against the head. After much work it actually came away pretty quickly then I used a butane torch to heat it then vice grips on it. Needless to say I didn't use the bolt again but it's a lot easier to replace a bolt than a head.

i did the same thing on my old CR, in the end i just hit it with a cold chisel and eventually it came of fine.

Try hiting it with a center punch or a nail punch on the out most side of the nut workedfor me a few times.

If you can't get anything to grip onto it I would go with a large / heavy cold chisel (sharp as well) and a medium size hammer, hit it on the outer edges aiming to turn the nut to loosen it.
First try some heat if you can to loosen the nut or a days soaking in penetrating oil / CRC / WD40.

The important bits are:
You want heavy gear so the blow is transfered to the nut, a light hammer and chisel will just bounce around and mess things up.
You want a sharp chisel so it bites into the nut and doesn't slip off.
You want to go with a couple of decent whacks, not lots of light weight tapping.
If you can't get a decent shot at the nut because of it's location, remove the engine from the frame, it only takes an hour and may save you a lot of anger and damage.

have you managed to get a ring spanner on it? i have found in the past a cheap spanner with ultra thin wall around the ring will fit over that nut
