    I liked the shaft on my GS850 because I didn't have to oil or adjust it.
    But that's also a VERY good reason.

    no different to idiot back yard mechanics running sand paper under a fan belt to stop it squeaking, or sticking your finger in a hole to align shims (makes me shiver just thinking about that one), or using a 3000psi brake press without the safety guard (how many brake press opearators have missing fingers?).

    Alright, we might loose out in HP with our driveshaft but it is a lot easier to maintain plus save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ over the years.

    gotta love shaft drive--as for down on power well Yea compared to a well lubed chain--but compatred to a stuffed o ring chain......
