After a year of not riding my ZXR 400 SP due to carb problems, it is finally working!!! I just have to make some minor adjustments but 2 weeks is plenty of time to get it all ready.

Just one question thoe, according to the BBQ post, isn't the track time on Sunday the 21st of December? Is it the 20th or the 21st?

See you there every one, I will be the slowest rider there in a white suit and bike.

Fuck me - I took an NSR250 for a ride today - talk about a culture shock from the VTR - R1 and then this thing.  Remind me next time to not rely on engine braking at the corners!!!  Wicked quick tho - just don't tell the Gatso's as it is far from road legal.

My mate had an RGV when I had my VFR400, and we used to race from every set of lights there was (of course). I got better starts due to the extra torque of the 4 stroke, but the bikes were dead even once moving. The VFR had about 10ks more top speed as well.

    250 vs 400

2 Stroke 250 vs 4stroke 400 is always close, Down the main straight at manfield and Taupo my 87 RG250 would be slowly passed by VFR400s (oh that wonderful sound they make) then I would beat them through the corners only to have them outpace me on the straights again. I upgraded to an RGV250, they just couldnt get that ground back on the straight after that.

Every time I see a VFR400 it makes me smile!

Poor Wkid_One - Two strokes only have engine braking in the 3,000 k before redline and when you sit up.

Try going from riding two strokes, off and on road, for four years and then get a four-stroke single as a road bike, talk about engine breaking caused no end of buttock clenching moments for the riders (and cars) behind me.

Isnt that the grand prix bike? I doubt its available in road going format but damn it would be quick! Heck it probably doesnt even have a way of starting other than lots of pushing!

I have been pootling around on a 2003 SR250 courtesy bike. It must be tied with GN250 for the slowest 250cc bike of all time. I hope no one recognises me
