Well unfortunatley it was cancelled but met up with motoracer anyway. We didn't "test " the bikes but i think his better riding ability will be offset with his "interesting" tyres so it will put us on an even par. As i am going to melbourne this weekend maybe the arvo before the KB BBQ would be a good testing time. Gives us a whole night to discuss who f#@!ed up more.

p.s. (don't tell marty cause he'll wip us all )

Good idea affman!! Hopefully the weather will be better this time. Once I get some proper tyres, I'll stop bitching about the weather and just go for it but I really can't do that right now.

I was getting all excited about the track time before finding out its $200.00!!! Even my race bike is all ready to go now. Guess I'll just have to wait till the next practice track day.

Edit: Would that be the $80 track day on the 20th HO Hoon???

My 89 ZXR250 would sit at about 190kph on the rev limiter. I'm sure CK could confirm this from going down the back straight at Puke.

One time I had some fun and games with a GT-T Skyline at the lights, and we were about even. I think the major benefit from an acceleration point of view over cars lies in not having to shift until about 70kph, and then shifting much faster. Of course, you lose that advantage with other bikes......

If the CBR is faster, I don't think its by much. And I have to say that I think the Honda's trim quality isn't as nice, and there are too many of them. Boring.

Dave, I notice you live in Kaukapakapa. I guess that makes you 125cc about the biggest thrill around.

yes yes, I know! I kept getting passed on the back straight by bastards like you when i went out there Dave! getting done by a smoky sewing machine in a corner I could understand but getting nutted by something with 1/2 the capacity in a straight line just wasn't on... so I bought the Zx-6R and have only had to put up with the odd Gsxr1000 going past .

Still-you don't have to rebuild your engine every week!
My '98 bike that Sam smith was riding has had the motor apart for checking/rebuilding 5 times in 1 week.(4 track days) still,
1.07's for a 15 year old that only started on 125's in April is Fucking impressive.
    Luv it!

1/4 of the capacity and the little beggar is still quicker than me by 4 seconds! SOD it!

(hopefully only 2 seconds by the time I get the GSXR singing on the diablos)

to be honest, I'm happy sacrificing a few secnds for my weeknights not spent stripping an engine down!
