    Poo's is right.

But I took a Bandit 250 for a ride today.
    ( My 3rd ride on a 250 )

    And that thing is mental.
I found a hill (downward) and twisted the throttle

    * Cue massive smile going to holding on like shit and trying to find the brake :spudwow: (which i eventually managed to do thank god)

    Mental machines, but cool.

(something about needing higher gearing to keep it below some sort of top gear ride past for a noise test)
Second place is a toss up between 2 bikes, the Suzy RGV and the Aprillia RS, both push a shade over 200kmph flat out standard (and of course share the same suzuki motor). The NSR was more restricted while still being a phenominal bike (single sided swingarm, so sexy). The TZR where also great but never pushed the top speed into the 200's.

They will hit 200 (indicated) that's about a couple of cm's past the 180 mark on the speedo and only do about 15.5-16krpm at that speed. So you don't need to completely thrash them either, unlike a two stroke. But an Aprilla should be faster in terms of both acceleration and top end.

Gotta say, I used to own a Suzi RG250 Walter Wolf and that sucker was FAST!!! If ya never seen one here's a link http://www.suzukicycles.org/RG-series/RG250-Gamma.shtml and go to the bottom of the page.

It was a freakin beast but really prone to breakdown. Was told by original importer the Walter Wolf was a special edition to commemorate his racing victories. Built pretty special for an 80's bike too.

It tried to kill me one too many times so graduated onto a VFR750, much more useable bike.

Ha, CBRs would be good if they didn't weigh as much as an R6... They're ok for learner bikes, and the 19000rpm redline is soo cool to hammer, but other than that they've got bugger all going for them. It's a damn shame they don't make an 06 CBR250 weighing < 130kgs, 70bhp or some such shite

Now me personally, I'd agree with ya, but plenty of people are like 'boo hoo it's a two stroke and they're unreliable'. Which of course it tripe, they just don't take abuse like slow old four strokes

Just sold the CBR and I reckon it was great
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
