    What are KDX200s like?

saw one on tm, i was thinking of buying a new exc200 one day - i want the lightness of my 125 but with some more power so thought hte exc200 would be well suited to the majority of my riding which is trials

then saw the kdx - whats this like as a comparison?

exc200 is good, light, and quick. The kdx I had felt big, clumsey, and cornered like a shopping trolley full of logs.
    Broken bikes wanted, pm details

yeah i noticed they were a bit heavier - i take it the suspension on the kdx is nothing on the exc?

i think you would be disappointed with pretty much every aspect of a kdx200 coming off a 125.

    slower? crapper suspension? heavier?

the main thing i like bout my 125 is how light it is and how much i can throw it round. problem is that im a fat shit (90kg's, 168cm tall) and it really struggles down low sometimes (i think 125's were made for 60kg teenagers lol!)

most of all i like the 2 stroke - rode a 250f ktm, i was defiately quicker but it was so booring, and it was like being in school siting up so straight!

Get your self a newer 125, they have alot more bottom end then the 2001 that you have. Not massive bottom end, but it might be just what you are after.

all of the above. what about a 250, they seem a little scary first ride, but you do get used to them

yeah they do seem scary fast lol - my mate has the 250sx, i have ridden it a few times and just hop on and put it in 3rd and it still scares me shitless. but he's had it for twice as long as i've had my cr (he's had his 3 years) and he rides faster than he first did, but he never rides it with the throttle wide open like i can do on my 125. i think thats one of the things thats cool bout the 125's is that you can give them everything

The 200exc feels like a 125 to throw around, has power more like a 250 than a 125 tho but still has the 125 buzz to ride.

that depends on the rider, theyre not really that much faster than a 125, its just all down low, spend a week on it to get used to bottom end power and youl be sweet.
