Old fella trying to sell his bike

I hope you guys aren't this old, his comments are pretty funny and he has the right age bike for this trademe auction to be true. Instead of the odd dodgy bike being sold. I like the bit where he says: good for ladies, but I'm a southern man, speights lol. Classic

Too bad he can't get a grandson or something to help him!

Heh. Jeans, boots, swannie... and a pipe.

Wonder if he bought it new, aged.... 54. If so they've both had a good knock.

Yeah? I just can't see the appeal, I mean they were giving them away at the time & they aren't a classic, just a lash up trying to ape an old british single.

    Have you ridden one? Boooring.

    Fuck that's bloody harsh mate.

I liked them, I know of one that had been mildly breathed upon and it was a bloody hoot to ride.

Yeah a mate had one with a 600 kit (was the 500). Actually he still has it in a corner. The 400 was a yawnfest.

But the point is they were trying too hard to be something that they weren't. I mean the Japs had their own quirky style, that was cool. I just think the whole single from the past has been over egged & Honda missed the mark particularly.

I do like them (actually more the faired TT2) but the SRX600 is what I like better. Has it's own "quirky" style (as Dave puts it). Plus ya gotta be a man and kickstart the 600 single over.

Awwww bless. That man sounded like one hell of a character! Reminds me of my grandpa.. he got a computer when he was 88, and got broadband. Was still using it (well, giving it a damn good go) until the age of 93 last year. Simply awesome! Was sharp as a tac with the emails and attachments and digital images, but not so flash with the trademe auctions.

I would have given him an extra couple of hundred bucks for his awesome effort!!!
