I knew it, according to the NZ Herald this morning, more people are killed in the home than on the roads or at work. Fully justifies me going for rides every day.

Now, I wonder when ACC will levy a house specific charge on us. If what they hit motorcyclist for, a high risk householder should be good for about $1,000 a year, each! Might suggest that to my mate Nick 'the prick' Smith.

Use the bike for daily transport -No accidents or ACC claims made.
Chase the dog around the house and fall flat on my face and knock my four front teeth out (last week...still hurts!)....ACC claim lodged.

But heres the zinger!....ACC have declined to cover me ...and have not explained why?? (I must not be covered for ACCIDENTS!)

So I pay excesive ACC fees for no cover at all now.....brilliant!

.....and they wonder why I only pay 6 months rego every year now

SCREW ACC!......can I go private?....of course not!, how do they make a profit with options like that!......bastards

Standard procedure, these days. A portion of claimants will just go away. The rest may need to hire a lawyer.
ps - if your lawyer can beat their lawyer in an arm wrestle, ACC will (finally) approve your claim.

LOL -Did think of doing that....but the poor dog was sulking more than me after the accident.....and I "WAS" the one at fault....had a tux bikkie in me gob and was chasing him round the house (teasing)

ACC are making it harder for dental claims - I work in a dental surgery. You now need to show 5 years of dental records showing that you go regularly for check ups. If you have any decay in your mouth at the time this goes against you.

Basically if you get injured and your teeth are damaged, too bad if you have not been looking after them - as far as ACC is concerned.

Yes, it is just another excuse not to pay out. Too bad that you/your employer pay your levies. Just what you need huh? Upset cos your knocked your front teeth out and now you have to find the money somehow to fix them.
