    Thumbs up New bikers' web

    Hey guys,
just launched new web for bikers. The plan is to put all useful info together to one web, where you will be able to find where to go for a good ride, where to take your pit stop or overnight stopover etc. It will be loaded with news about new bikes, motosport... There are plenty of wallpapers to download and you can join the community to stay in touch with mates.
It's completely new but we hope that you will help us to build this "bikerpedia" for all nz motorcycle enthusiasts!

    Cheers and enjoy!

Good luck with that. Another web site that does that will always be useful.

Want to attract people to the site but want it to remain classy?

    Just add a boob gallery.

No, it's not run by a girl, it's run by bikers. The idea is to be a little different, most bikers websites here are full of good information but mostly locked in forums with thousands of threads and it's very hard to get back to these info when you need it. The idea is simple - to create a separate space for all this stuff with clear navigation. And yes, as a woman I wanted it aestheticly pleasing.

And, because it's designed by a woman, it doesn't need a search engine. I know this because I know this woman who stores her CDs in alphabetical order based on the performer's first name.

If you are talking about search field, it's in the right top corner. If you talking about SEO, we are working on it.
    Any other suggestions?

    Great site, good work!
The site has a good sense of enthusiasm for all things biking, I'm sure people who are browsing the net tyre kicking about learning or returning to the craft would find a learners/returners section something that could pull them into the fold?

Thanx for the idea and a compliment! It's good to hear something positive after weeks of hard work!

Hey Wild Rose, got some comments about your site

    * Get rid of the default Joomla favicon.ico
    * The semi-transparent footer looks weird when scrolling against that mesh background
    * Get some caching or host the website on something more powerful; your site is too slow.
    * Sitemap link is pointing at something different on every page

    Site generally looks good though

    Thanks for the comment!

    1. I have a favicon, it was showing in the morning (uploaded it last nite only), not sure what happen to it, must investigate.
    2. We'll see if there will be more comments about this but I really like it like that
    3. The site is not optimized just yet, still working on it... Unfortunately I have to compromise speed vs. high resolution pics etc. But will do my best, slow webs are pissing me, too.
    4. The footer links are mostly still dummies.

Thanks for the depth exploration, you are all kinda guinea pigs just yet (in a good way)
