Anyone coming up from Wellington and wanna split Gas costs?

I've got a decent sized Wagon with a tow bar, and will be hiring a Trailer (unless I can beg, borrow or steal one from some lovely person in Welly) to cart my bike up.

    Psychos need not apply.

It'd be like having two positive magnets in the car seats next to each other. All they do is repel. You need one positive, and one negative to make a road trip work.

For the slowest + second slow groups, what's the gear requirement? Eg is a good two-piece leather set with no waist zip acceptable, or codura gear which does have a zip?

Also, any info on costs for booking a garage? And would anyone be keen to split the costs with myself and 2 others for a garage?

I hope those that attended enjoyed the day. It went fairly smoothly from our end all things considered. Any feedback about the novice rider experience would be greatly appreciated.

What a great day! So well run, Clive. Please give all your team a big pat on the back!

I did enjoy my wee sojourn out on to the track, felt very safe, not intimidating in the least!

And, yes, I might even attempt it again!

Thanks Tart. It's a shame you missed Bistards training session. He is good at covering some basic skills that make riding safer, and he has some good tips about getting around Manfeild. Next time.

good day! had a young girl from germany who was very keen to get on the back of the bike. She loved it. I was doing the fast group as well so sooo much tracktime. I think i was in cruise mode and forgot what group I was in a couple of times. I was trying to play nice but aplogies for any I might have got too close to. I didnt mean to. Mint day though but didnt get any photos so be keen to see if anyone has any. Esp of 2 up.

I agree, it was an awesome day. I have to say I learned a lot, still sooo much more to learn but I'm getting more and more confident on my new street triple. It's a seriously fast track compared to Taupo...
