Thread: What bike for Mom?

  1. #16
There is one motorcycle manufacturer that has always made bikes specifically for short people...they make a low version of one of their standard bikes. But of course you would never consider a bike from those who have gone out of their way to consider short people should be able to ride.

Yup the ER6 devices are a damn fine bit of kit. Good for ducks also.

I am a short arse I dont have a HUGE amount of money to spend and I want something reliable that has a bit of spark. I know we have talked about this before but fresh eyes and all that. The BB has a seat height of 780mm, and is 600ccs of raw powa

I dont want a little bike, I could not think of anything worse, I want to travel on this bike not just commute. All my riding is open road stuff with a little bit of traffic to contend with from time to time.
Darn! I know just the bike... Lotsa grunt, best handling cruiser, 60mpg, carry all your gear anywhere, anytime, low to the ground with lots of room, looks fabulous... Cage drivers think you're a cop coming up behind them... You're welcome to visit and try it on for size... About time you two popped in again anyway...

+1 on this, I had the GS500E a while back, naked one. It was great fun, a good commuter and was very reliable. Could go pretty quick when it needed to too.

Don't like the fully faired new ones so much.

    Ther's a few of these around ...

Oh ..... the RF900's are pretty good machine ... not too tall in the saddle area either.

I would suggest an FJ1200 ... but you're not used to that amount of PURE power ...

Eh? I would have turned to the dark side a while ago, Anniversay Night Rod. Maybe I should arrange a test ride?

    Oh Eddybear...

Your bike is lovely jubbley, but too big for this little gal. Yes my feet hit the ground, but the reach is a bit bigger than I am used to. Maybe I can take it for a ride soon?
