    Deal over!

    I have withdrawn my offer.

She rang me tonight. The bike was not available for me to ride on the weekend. Even when I told her I would pay to have it transported to WMC or similar at my expense for a ride, it was not on. She does not trust anyone. It was available the weekend after if I wanted to ride it then. Apparently I had not expressed a great enough interest in buying the bike

I did ask if she thought I should give her a cash deposit to hold the bike, and whether that sounded a bit like a scam to her.

She is protective of her bike

May she be blessed with it for many years to come

I am gutted. Back to the drawing board.

Thanks to eveyone for their help in this too.

Sorry for your loss, I think it's for the best tho.

I am busy convincing myself it is for the best. Honestly though, I am proud of myself, I did not tell her exactly what I thought of her, I just withdrew politely, albeit quickly at the end. Had to be fast, I was about to call her pedigree into question, along with other stuff Comfort myself with the fact that she paid for the call

Sorry you're being messed around. Still, if you want a Buell I can't see any reason why you can't have one. Appart from the seat what are the other differences between the standard S and the L?

Only, I just can't see it being a big deal to change one. Seat mod's maybe cost $300, shock shortened? if so there's another couple of hundred. Even if all the changes cost a couple of grand, (and they wouldn't) you can find plenty of tidy XB12S's for well under $8k.

    Make with the list woman.

The pressure she attempted to put on me was funny, oh, I mean intense

half way down the page is the lowering kits for Buells, only 20mm tho.

    25mm one here, http://www.solobuell.com/en/sb/buell...u/lowering-kit

theres plenty out there....go find another Buell to buy Mom..

I wouldn't of payed over $9k for the other one.

What I was trying to say (be it rather badly) is lowering is NOT always a good option or experience.

I am a classic example of what can go wrong when my SV was lowered. Hey I know its not always bad but always good to remember it can happen......if that makes any sense at all.

But wasn't it determined that your SV was made from the recycled Christine?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah, it's funny how people who claim to have other offers they are "holding back" are so keen for you to buy their item...
