Is this worth the asking price?

    Advertised in my local craigslist.
Not sure what it is worth.
    Is it worth having?
    Is it rare and/or collectable?
    Any knowledgable comments welcome.

it looks like a fairly clean bike.

you have to ask yourself if there is another bike that you would like more for the same money.

do not be fooled into thinking it is an investment.

Certainly doesn't belong in the classic/vintage bracket, it's barely even "post classic".

yes it probably is worth the asking price.
Its only worth having if your a Ducati Bevel fan and like riding and maintaining them as they need more than jap bikes of the same era.
Becoming collectable...which means you won't want to ride it as much in case you scratch it.
I have a Darmah, and while it hasn't got 40 mm carbs or clipons its probably nicer as an all rounder.
A modern 900ss ie is a better bike.

Darmah is definitely a better all rounder except for the silly small fuel tank

Having a smaller tank offers more opportunity to recover...

there is nothing really special about them.I had a 900 s2 which was the same bike but different body work.I beleive mine was one of the very last to come with the 40mm carbs and conti mufflers.

Thanks all for the input. The idea was to buy it as in investment but this model bike doesn't look to be a good choice.

I wouldn't have thought it was a bad choice, but if it needs engine work (shouldn't at 15K) it could be expensive
