if only there was a "former cage driver, but have seen the light and never want to voluntarily drive a cage again (unless absolutely necessary*)" option to select

    * Note: one benefit of my car is that I can fit my ice hockey gear and sticks when heading off to play every week... can just imagine trying to lug that shit to the game on my bike!

Thats the only reason i have a car is for lugging big shit around...well when i have a car....

So plan is a van next...so when i need to do cage stuff i can, but doubles as a race van for taking bike too and from ruapuna.

52 years old this year. Got my licence at the tender age of 15. Never got around to getting a licence for a cage. This isnt to say I havent driven. A number of times I have been known to get behind the wheel and take a spin but I just dont feel the pull towards two extra wheels.

When I am old and decrepid ( say 55 years old) I may gor for the 4 wheel cage but only if my balance and coordination have been shot to hell.

Wow! There are actually some losers motorcycle riders out there that can't afford, or don't know how to drive a car and have no car licence..???

No wonder some people here have such a "us and them" mentality.

Woops, I chose option 2, but reading the first post I'm actually option 1 hehe.

Never owned a car, never driven a car, only ridden motorcycles and that's the way it will stay, rain, hail or shine.

/Edit to reply to above post: It's just a choice, I just personally like to ride bikes no matter the conditions, have no need for a car and if, in some outrageous emergency I need to be in one, my other half has her car, I've got no problem with car drivers. I just personally like to ride bikes, a lot :D I only see challenges to not having a car license, not obstacles. Gotta make life interestin' !

Iagree with ZADOK, I ain't voting either, i ride 95% of days, but still have to get in the truck to make money to buy more toys...........and .........last year the missus worked out i've done over 850,000 k's in 30+ years......so surely i can call myself a real biker.
Not like the dork i work with that has a seven year old 'Busa with less than 24,000 k's on the clock and no car.........he rides a friggin PUSH bike to work.......what a TWAT.

Had my learners car licence for 3 years now. My bike Full for a year

Though a teenager without a car is as bad as a teenager without a cellphone (I know cause I haven't got one of them either). You get pushed into getting a car by peers and parents, plus the lack of storage space on a bike doesn't help.

I don't give a fuck what so called" bikers "think.Over the years I've owned over 50 bikes and done a gazzillion miles on them. Also owned many cars and love driving as well.Hell if it's got a motor then I'm interested in it.Never did like to be labeled.I think trying to fit people in boxes is for idiots and politicians.
