Fired the bike up this morning as well as the DR. Both started first pop. The aprilia will need a warrent and Reg is on hold.
This would be a great bike for someone. Spare Rotax timing belt included, brand new one on the bike - good for approx 12000 km
Manual included also although it is in Italian but has pictures to de cipher. She is all good to go, brand new tyres, everything works as it should.
Contact details are in the bike trader section or PM me.
I took the aprilia for a ride this morning. Just a little one around a loop, bout 100Km.
The bike has a brand new battery in it and she started right off the buttonWith choke she takes a little while to get to a good idle but once warm she purrs.
I was impressed by the gearbox, the changing was smoothe. If anything, the bike is a little high geared. At 100kph she was pulling 4600 rpm, so maybe it could be geared down slightly, I don't know. The speedo is way out though, must be an age thing. At 80 indicated, my GPS had 100kph on the dot. So at least I know now. The aprilia really sites nicely at 100kph in fifth and I got her up to a good speed no issue at all, that was just to get some of that stale fuel out....
Overall, happy with here and it has given me a lot more confidence to trust the Rotax and take her for a longer day out soon.
Waitangi Day, oil change on the DR800 and a wander up the Thomsons Track
It was a very hot morning and the bike got a little hot under the collar. She is best suited for those fast South Island roads....
is she still for sale

The Tuareg is for sale.
I have put the reg on hold but it finishes 20/06/13.
A WoF can be obtained prior to sale, it will pass no issues there. I will also put some reg on the bike if required for the new owner.
It has been ridden up and down the road, around the block to keep it purring.
The price I am looking for is $3000 ono.
Please PM me if interested. I will be listing this on Trade Me as soon as time permits.
Thanks.
