Big shout out to HELLZIE, wooo our first ride together and of course Clint, happy to lead us learners around and up through the bays today.
So as we are all so excited about our new found lifesytle we all forgot cameras So out came the trusty Ipod for a quick snap to remember this great day.

We met at Cycle Treads and were off. Lovely weather, good company. Great day all in all.

    Hey Trailblazer

In regards to a thread i read "you bike nearly killed you" you are talking down on hyosungs. The reason i ask is My husband is also a learner has a few weeks on me, however an L plater too. he has a 2007 GT250R, he hasn't had any problems, had the warranty tensioner thingy replaced at cycletreads this year, had a tiny issue with the chain being run back through incorrectly was recitfied immediately. Other than that the mention of not being able to start it when hot. I think we experienced that last weekend. After an hour and half of riding we arrived and parked, Clint decided to move the bike and it wouldn't start. Plenty of gas, oil fine blah blah blah. 10 mins later started normally!!!! This has happened twice now both after the engine has become very warm. other than Neutral being a bitch sometimes his Hyo is awesome for a 250, handles well, good off the mark, clint rues my 6th gear on the kwaka when we are on the motorway doing 70km's

as my top end of said 70 k's is quite alot stronger than his.

Hey, sorry I missed it. Helzie said she had a blast.

The Striple tends to dislike around town traffic, the throttle gets twitchy and she starts to accelerate without warning, attracting the attention of the authorities.

    Nice one, good stuff.

Yeah, first big ride can be a bit daunting but once you have a good crew of people to ride with, you are away laughing.

Me, I have done a lot of protest rides which were great, more recently done some fun and charity rides with the Fat Bikers. Must admit, prefer the fun stuff myself, makes you realise why you bought a bike in the first place.

Some good routes up there as well, get out and have it.

    Stay safe

Great ride - watch out for dickheads on Woodcocks road and watch out for new seal on Old North Rd. There are two areas that have new seal and are slippery with loose stones.

I still have the hot starting issue sometimes and no one can tell me what the problem is. I was stuck on the side of the road for nearly 2 hours 1 day. I have had my speedo shit itself and the stand switch shit itself to as well as many other little things. They are a good looking and nice to ride bike but the more i ride my bike the more things go wrong with it so I can't even plan to do a long ride as my bikes reliability is an issue. I think that hyosung need to sort out alot of issues with reliability. I always thought that the bad ones were the ones that were thrashed and didn't take to much notice but that isn't the case. I know someone who has an 08 model gt250r and he travelled from matata to past opotiki which is about 75 to 80ks each way everyday for about 15months and never had anything go wrong with his bike just routine maintanace so there are some good ones out there.

Yeah, come across a few dickheads out that way before...

And a warning for anyone thinking of riding out towards Peak Road there is new seal, gravel etc out that way too!
