Angry Roo's off to court now too...

Ok... so it started out a really great day... the sun was shining, the birds singing, my beautiful baby singing "thrash me thrash me" as it sucked lungfuls of cold air...
Somehow... it ended with the eagle buzzing over me as I stood on the side of the northwestern motorway watching a serious crash unit pull up behind the HP car that just stopped me, having been left well and truly behind trying to catch me. I wondered where in the hell I had lost touch with the reality that started to bite... and only bit stronger as I kicked my heels in the drunktank down at auckland central for the better part of a day...
I was in trouble... real proper trouble... not just "smack on the bum, on yer way son" ticketable misdemeanor but an angry angry serious crash unit officer jumping up and down in my face and trying to wrest a speed out of me. He didnt get one, and so therefore I missed the 28days instant standdown, but slapped me with a dangerous driving charge and it looks like I'm gonna be walking for a while now... *sniff*
Moral of the story, ladies and gentlemen,... is NEVER STOP!!! You dont know who may be trying to catchup. Ride it like ya stole it, and keep that throttle pinned.
Lets go hijack all their camels... and crash them into their tents :raghead:

Oh dear. Time to find a good lawyer. Commiserations, probably. So long as it wasn't actually dangerous.

Yeah -- dufus why did you stop?? They'd never catch you unless they got the bird out.......

Anyway... best of luck.. take a deep breath and count to 10 before you say anything....

Better still let your lawyer do all the talking.

Uh, just a point , Mr roo. You might want to clarify that you were not under the influence , otherwise people will see the bit about the drunktank, and draw a wrong conclusion and we'll ahve a big barney about drink driving. (I'm assuming you mean that they arrested you for dangerous driving, and held you in the cells while they did whatever it is that they do about bail and stuff [Mr Spudchucka told me I had the bail thing wrong, so I'm not quite sure what the process is ]). Anyway I assume you didn't mean it was the drunktank cos *you* were drunk. I don't think bikers tend to go in for that much anyway.

    Firstly... Good luck in court

Secondly... When you say don't stop... do you mean out run the cops?

*proberly wouldn't be able to on my 250... would panic and stop*

    *is a wuss*
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

Yes you could - but it will take a bit of skill.... cos you can only do 200 on your bike.......so the commodores wont be that far away.....

That's $1.40 to you.....I can barely buy anything worth $1.50 with my money...... never mind......and I only use that money on lonely, empty, country roads with 100% visibility and no driveways/joining roads.....

Let us know how it goes Roo

Disclaimer: By the way - before the PC brigade gets on my case - I am not in favour of doing runners, etc - but if one unfortunately finds themselves in that situation I believe it is better to keep going until it is unsafe to continue doing so.......

No I'm sure he wouldn't have meant that, cos "that" would be highly illegal and dangerous...unless, nah let's not go there.

I'm sure he meant don't ever stop riding!

We're all fairly law-abiding citizens on KB, only the real fast *pros* don't stop for cops!

[Edit: Notice how the pros have come out to play]

    when will you

run away, run away, run away, types realise you CAN NOT out run a radio
telephone. You cant outrun the eye in the sky.

I hope you lose you licence for 12 months or more. A couple of grand fine
might help you to grow a brain, and if you cant pay I hope they take your bike and sell it. I dont want wankers like you on the road - you push up my insurance costs and ACC levies.

All those who advocate this shit for other riders get a fucking life.

If you break the rules and get caught you are better off to stop - the fine will be less, the loss of licence is more unlikely, the risk of a crash is much less, the risk of hurting someone else is less. Note - I don't care if you injure your stupid self or damage your bike. Just dont crash into me while your doing your runner.

Final word - this guy stopped - he did a runner - but HE STOPPED - so he is full of shit.

Dont come crying here - poor me, poor me, while you are walking keep kicking your own arse, and repeat often Dickhead.
If you say either "I can" or "I can't" your correct.
