+1 for Swann. 24 year old on a VTR1000 @ $8000 is about $53 a month, $500 theft/fire excess, $750 crash excess. They are sweet as with ART, Hampton Downs Ride Days and MotoTT trackdays as long as you ring up and confirm.
I was with State - they were very cheap with a combo package for other cars and household goods etc at about $20 a month for $6k and at 39 years old - I called up two weeks before to find out about being insured for the ART days. They said they will get back to me. I heard nothing until the day before. I called them up, and they pretended they had never even heard of my query before. I asked them to put a rocket under their ass and give me an answer. They said NO. I told them to fuck themselves for fucking me around and leaving me stranded the day before the ART day. I rode VERY carefully at ART day.
I am now with Swann through Kiwibike. $37 /month for $6k cover including gear cover for $3k and $250 excess - Not much more expensive, and track days are covered if you tell them about it early. But get the Swann insurance through Kiwibike- by all accounts if you do it directly online with Swann, you dont get the great deals that you do through Kiwibike.
Just been looking at moving all my insurance over and found AMI real cheep. The bike on third party (with me on my restricted) is a massive $25 PER YEAR or 200 and somthing for full insurance for $2500 I think Iam gonna go 3rd party at that price.

Kiwibike. No contest.
Anyone got some contact details for David GoLightly at Vero?
I'm also with Vero/Golightly. Does anyone offer cover specifically for track days, assuming your regular insurer doesn't cover them?
