New rough road seal between Kingseat and Waiuku (April 2012)

It seams really ROUGH, like gravel but not loose, By far the worse NEW road surface ive ridden on, lucky it finishes when you hit the passing lane. Im hoping its not the new standard for country roads but if its cheaper im sure it will spread like the cheese cutters.

Anyone in the know about this new Chip seal?

It seems no better or worse than the usual shite they put down at this time of year.

At least they managed to sweep off 90% of loose chip and not the usual 50%, I've already seen a rider come off on it, very badly rashed,although he was a pedal powered rider.

This is true. They have done a good job of cleaning it up
