    “Motorbike” bird in comeback

The Nightjar - a rare bird that “sounds like a motorbike” is making a comeback, with numbers in Sussex alone increasing by 68% in the last decade. The dove-sized bird is usually heard at dusk, sounding like a distant motorbike and it’s call can last up to nine minutes.

It comes to Britain in the summer from Africa and is one of the 40 most threatened birds in the UK.

I'm hoping this will work (I haven't got a decent enough version of Media player in the office to make sure it does)... so hopefully if you click on the 'Nightjar' link at http://www.island-safari.co.uk/sounds.htm then you will get the sound.

    Fingers crossed

It's got the idle of a harley but the down throttle sounds a bit like my bike, all blurbs and blaps with a few missfires. Up throttle has to be multi. Too smooth to be anything else. lol
