Funny as hell man! There where about 8 people left at the Waikino when the three of us rolled in! The owner was pissed as but managed to get us some drinks then we went out the back to see what was up!!
Jeepers what a diverse bunch!
one was the local drunk, old as with a huge cauliflower drinkers nose and waisted as
one was the owner pissed as with Tank top on and tats Nice guy gave us the run down on the Axes etc hangin on the walls.
one was a biker type but rode a nice SV1000 but looked like a real bearded harley rider
A Big farmer lookin guy
A chick that looked like she'd been around a bit
and another young chick that was really nice and normal compared the the rest LOL!!
And an up market, well dressed sorta guy with an english type hat on??
And the whole lot where well past it!!
So more drinks all round, the Waikino weed went round and it all got a bit out hand!
Big Marty on our crew was telling bullshit stories about how he worked at Arohata Womens Prison to the locals, you can imagine what that entailed! He never has by the way!!
Then the biker guy took the hard lookin chick home on the back of his SV with no helmet, no gear, High shoes and a thin dress to the cries of our don't do it you fools! Some of the locals even joined in but to no avail! There where to many of them for us to push the point??
Then the mandatory late night KFC! Why does POP corn chicken taste sooo good when your hammered and back to the beach house to party till I knew the traveller that had left us to go home had arrived home safely!
A great days racing! I'd never seen or heard the Briton going! That was the highlight of the day for me, ferkin awesome I thought!! Apart from we won our class on Fastest lap in the end after a couple of back markers really held up the final two laps! The old Z900 looked the part out front on the day I reckon!!
Great company Sat night, Great sunny Raceday Sunday and Sunday night man what a night with the locals!!
The ride back today was good traffic was light, radar detector only went off twice so Mr Plod had stopped bombing the area. Stayed on the main road till the Red Fox Tavern then Marinda, Clevdon When the light rain started.
But all in all better to have time to enjoy the local entertainment that night and then get to work at lunchtime next day I reckon!!!
So pleased I finally got to see and hear one of the greatest Kiwi works of art (the Britton) going!
