I sold my Busa to buy a family wagon

As per the title, I sold my hayabusa because I needed to get a family wagon. It looks like my wee twin girls have a brother or sister on the way. Which is excellent timing with me heading to uni after the docs said im broken forever, which is awesome lol. So I need a bike that runs on the smell of an oily rag, will cart my 120kg/ 190cm tall arse around the place, little to no maintainence and can go almost anywhere. I'm not looking to buy anything new, just want something reletively newish without spending oodles of money. SO with all the in mind, figuring that its the closest thing to it I have decided on a DR650. What kind of money will I need, what to look out for and who wants to give me one for free?
Cheers in advance lads and ladies.

You cannot go wrong with a DR650. If you are keen, happy to uplift from Hamilton airport mate and help you on your way.

    .....
I bought a 2008 with 19200 km 2 weeks ago for $5500, A 2007 with 18200 km sold down here the week before for $5600. A 2005 sold in Dunedin a month or two back for $4000. I believe in the North Island they are asking about $1000 more than down here.

    DRs are wicked
Look out for rattles in the bottom end (balance shaft chains, some muppets forget to adjust them)
The neutral switch screws can drop out, it's behind the clutch basket and is worth whipping out to check, you don't want the sender unit in your clutch at 6000rpm... loctite 'em, or do what I've done on my DR600 motor and lockwire the fuckers, with loctite, and prayer.

Oh, and just give me the motor...
