That's right yesterday (24/2/11) the one the only Scuba Steve was forced to go tarmac diving after a ute side swiped me
I'm alright(speed was a factor
) was fairly low speed tho, I would have been traveling less than 30km/h across from the cake tin in the left hand lane, he was in the right hand lane & decided to do the usual "Gap" "Switch" instant lane change we've all seen before unfortunately this time I was in the way
Needless to say I took a dive, he did stop & was helpful & apologetic (of course the usual "shit I didn't see you there" came out) but other than that, he was very helpful and apologetic, can't fault him too much there just hope next time he learns to look for bikes & gives the 3 secs of indication instead of just lane jumping.
The bike has cracked rear fairing, scratched front fairing, bent front brake lever & scratched metal parts i.e. exhaust, pegs, handle bar. But still starts & rides
Me I came out with grazed knee, inflamed left thumb, inflamed right shoulder (which makes doing anything quite hard left hand can't hold anything & right arm can't move anything) & had a headache yesterday as the head did make contact with the tarmac.
