    Amaranth paint for Triumph?

I am wanting to source some Amaranth paint for my old Triumph but need to get the colour code for that colour. Anyone know the actual details. Have scanned through various websites but so far the details have elluded me. Lots of suggestions where to look but so far , nothing.

I tried doing an online search with our system and came up with nothing, so you can rule out Spies Hecker/Standox. Not uncommon for old formulas to be ditched.

If the PPG rep decides to show up, I'll see if he can search the old Dulux archives, though I wouldn't hold much hope.

Best bet would probably be to source an original part in that colour, then get it matched.

Have you tried the Barnstormers website? They have some good contacts and info. Also the Classic Bike swapmeet is coming up in Hamilton soon. The same weekend as the V8's on the Sunday at Claudelands Showgrounds.

Good suggestions. Thanks for that. Because it's not a faithfull restoration, I might end up just getting something similar or close that will help evoke that 30's to 50's era.

Talk to Owen at Custom colours in Aus. He has original colours mixed by John Chritchlow in the UK. He can send you a colour card your local paint shop can match.

1957. Main aim is to get it back on the road. In the end any colour will do but I kind of like that amaranth for some reason.
