    Have a rant...

Something happened today, well at 7:10 this morning to be pedantic, happily riding along the Great South Rd on my way to the motorway a gentleman (I wont call him a mindless troglodite as that may be seen as petty and mean, I am but dont want to come across as that) undertook me, so what? nothing new there...
But there was a car infront of me so as he had nowhere to go he just pushed me into on-coming traffic, while eating his breakfast pie.
A bigger person would have just backed off and let him go, I'm not a big person so I gave his car a size 9 dent in the drivers door and fucked off smartly for two reasons.
    1: The afore-mentioned traffic.
2: lots of nutters on all sorts of strange chemicals out there and I didnt need to find out that he hasn't slept since May and his pie's cold. But heres the reason behind this, I'm not a large guy by any means, but I can 1:Run fast, and 2:Defend myself if need be (martial arts, but prefer option 1 cause theres less paper work).
So just a thought before you remove the mirror, kick the door, firebomb the 4x4 wank tank or tell the U.S. "Hey guys, Osama lives here!" That maybe discretion is the better part of valour.
I dont know, my act this morning probably wasn't the smartest move, and the mirror on Monday on the Southern (Bad week so far) could have used a little more of the oh well, shit happens, type thinking. Many of us dont do this sort of anti-social/self-defence call it what you will type behavior, and I know many do, the thing is the other non bike riding road users do make mistakes, and these mistakes can cost us our lives and limbs, giving the cage a rattle may just infuriate the sheep inside and not educate them that thay aren't alone on our roads and looking really is a good idea. To sumarize:
The bastard this morning had it coming and rightly or wrongly I'd do it again. However, maybe a tap on the window of the car that moved into my lane on Monday would have been a more gentle reminder that he has a window and to use it, cheaper than a new mirror. I've been riding on-road for about 15 years and don't consider myself a "newbie" any more, (Dont take offence at this if you are starting out, we where all newbie's once and we are ALL still learning) Maybe I'm gaining maturity (I hope not) Who knows? Any way, your views/comments are welcome. Lets see what hornets nest I've stirred up.
We all have our little obsessions...

Oh great, I hope I'm not the next biker to lane split past THAT guy
Nah mate, whatever you need to do I guess. Personally, I wouldn't do that, regardless of what he/she did to me. But sometimes I feel like it.

Infact, DRIVING home tonight, I actually thought for one second, would it be so bad if I rammed the car infront of me?

The mirror maybe wasnt right, cos he might not have seen you and a tap might have been enough. The dent was certainly justified, the w@nk3r obviously knew you were there cos he undertook you. My guess is he wont understand anything less.

I wouldnt do it myself, mainly cos I dont trust myself not to fall of afterwards......:S

Good for you. Coming home a couple of days ago on Bucklands Beach Rd (where it is one lane, but probably 1.5 lanes wide) some bastard asian undertook me. Initially I thought he was turning or something, but no, he just decided that the car length between me and the car in front was his.

If I was used to it I would have done more than pulled the finger at him. Instead I just was shocked. Afterwards I realised I should have followed him (I had the time) and instructed him of the road rules.

The shoe might have been a little over the top, and although some KB'rs like us to have a lovey dovey image, I reckon just a little fear would be good, and make the cars think twice before doing something they wouldn't do with another vehicle.

I dont care what anyone says I'm with the rest of you blatent shit like that gets a whooping.

I do the same if they are close enough, otherwise I do a rolling road block while expressing my emotions, I'm sure they can tell I am pissed off when I am jumping up on my bike waving my hands around, Whats more fun is riding up beside the car and opening the door, fuck that freaks them out

All bikers express themselves differently... and theres been many times I would love to have smacked off a side mirror of some cage driver asshole... But havn't because I'm not sure what to expect (force wise... therefore balance wise).

But now there is one more SUPER pissed off cager out there who proberly now hates all bikers... oh well I'm sure he'll get over it.
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing
