    What bike is that?

There's a dude parks a bike outside the dairy here from time to time. It's a Yamaha of some sort. V-twin with offset cylinders - ie not on a common crankpin.

Any ideas what model it would be? So far I haven't been able to get close to have a proper gawk at it...looks like an older model judging by the set-up.

    More info...
Could be an SRV, or a Virago, or a V Max, or a V Star or....

    Older bike? Like this?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Not much more I can tell you really - it's in a road bike style (ie not cruiser style), pretty upright, not very large judging by size of various bits. I might have to wait until he's here again one day and rip out to get a closer look.

Do all the models you mention have the offset cylinders? I though that might have been a clue.

PS: Just saw your pic. Looks exackery like that. SRV is it then?

I think the only V twins without offset cylinders are Harleys - they use a "knife-and-fork" big end bearing / conrod setup where one conrod bigend straddles the other rod, which puts the cylinders directly in line.

    Everyone else has more sense.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
