But seems like the police are targeting us a bit more now than what they were last year.
I can get a wof label printed at VTNZ? I don't know where the last WOF was issued just somewhere in Levin, don't have the form from when it was done as it was a couple months before I bought the bike and he didn't oblige in sending it along with the bike.

I think you can. I'm pretty sure the WOFs are recorded on a national database these days. They shouldn't have an issue giving you a new sticker

Why would you pay when you get free internet to e-mail at maccas?

I'm just saying maybe you shouldn't be judging him, some people don't want to spend a cent on phone calls but don't mind oodles on things they love. It's not a crazy mindset to have.

ACTUALLY-Theres a recent case regarding insurance on a cage. It seems that although it did not have a current rego or wof this was not a contributing factor to the accident. As such the insurance company had to pay out

insurance companies get out of paying all the time at my work like that. If the car has no rego thats fine but if it has no wof it is deemed unsafe an therefore should not be on the road. And then there is the licence thing if he only has a restricted then the insurance has an out with riding outside his licence conditions. They will do anything to get out of paying.

Most Insurance companys now have it written into the policy that the vehicle is not covered if it does not have a current WOF/Rego ...

And the driver is not "under the influence" of alcohol or drugs ... that does not mean over the legal limit either ...
