    VFR400 NC30 question.

Ok, So today I picked my new (New to me) VFR 400 NC30, and I noticed it has a nut or something wielded to the frame, ill supply a picture (not of my bike), was wondering if anybody knew what it is used for?
And does anyone know where to get cheap after market fairings, I like the tyga kits, but slightly out of my price range.
    Cheers

Chinese fairings from ebay about $700.

You get mixed results from these. They fit ok but there seems to be a common problem with fitting around the tail lights. A lot of people need to use a dremel to get them too fit. Then the stickers can fall off after a year or so. They look good from a distance.

Couple of threads over here about them http://www.400greybike.com/forum/vie...46a64f07a4fe2f

Those tyga fairing kits look silly IMO. Its an updated fairing on an outdated chassis. Just doesn't work! I think its the rear end that i don't like. The way the tail points sky high. Probably just the single sided swingarm making it look silly.

I do however think this looks awesome http://www.400greybike.com/forum/vie...lade&start=110

there are a few options of the tail, the ones that stick way up come with a whole new subframe, you can get ones that stick to the stock subframe and look alot better, plus im a pretty short fella, so if I were to go any higher, I wouldnt be able to touch the ground haha

    Mine was MINT.

Since then I've fallen off, been hit by a car, got a primed and un painted lower fairing. One mirror.

It's rugged, it's dirty. And I love it.

I may end up painting the whole thing white and doing the wheels black. But it's fine as it is hahaha.
