    Bit like the Z1R Kawasaki. Too angular for the Yanks at the time. Hence turbo charging them to move them along.

    A mate had a XR1000 years ago, had 2 big dellorto's. Was so much fun to ride ! Not sure what ever happened to it

    Was in california at a bicycle trade show in 96 and was looking at the vr1000 on display at a stand and had a britten t-shirt on a young guy comes up to me and comments on the britten then tells me he was the one who welded up the vr's frame and had a scrap book with him showing the frames in the jig and him welding them up I have pics somewhere it is a cool bike painted orange one side and black the other side.Shame it never made it into production and isn't there one in nz?

    Cant find much info about them, I did find a pic of one in road trim
