    Today's pointless item of kit

Saw a kid on a scooter this morning, wearing an all-encompassing breath guard. A bit pointless in this weather (it is between 25-30 degrees C, dry and sunny here) anyway, but rendered all the more worthless by the fact his helmet did not have a visor!

I wonder what he thinks it does?

Bob, you're in danger of losing the "Eagle Scout" tag, mate.

90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

They're gaining popularity with cycle commuters to filter out pollution.

I just stick with a bandana tied around me head like that. Works fine till you start wearing sunglasses.

It's 30 here at the moment , Just saw a motorcyclyst with no gloves and a teeshirt , but was wearing a full length back protector . Better than no protection i guess.

My foggy is still in. Last time I removed it it took a good month before I got it sitting comfortably. Don't fancy going through all that again.

Looks like a modernised version of Hannibal's mask. Note the anti-snore noseclamp.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

No, it was a standard, clip into helmet breath guard. Just rendered kinda pointless without a visor - even if it wasn't baking over here...

Wish I could get on with those breath guards - it would make Winter riding an easier task. But I find if I have to look way round to the side, they seem to push against my face and it feels like my contact lens is going to move! Distorted vision is never a good idea when riding!
