A year or three back, 2 madmen from Orks went to ChCh and rode an old Suzuki A100 (I think) back to Orks. There a thread on here somewhere in the form of a diary...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Toto just last week rode to Dunedin from Auckland over two days, on a GN250. Then he rode 1300km ish for the first day of the TT2000. Tues/Wed this week he rode back to Auckland from Oamaru.

Over 4000km in a week, but it was a Japanese GN, which of course, makes all the difference. Climbed a few hills at 55kph, top speed was 115 I think, once.

...my bro in law...the intrepid englishman...rewired a smoky old AC50...hoisted a pack on his back that was about as heavy as the bike and left Lyttelton on tour, back in the early 80's...three months later he put it on a Pacifica vessel in Auckland and sent it home...it had a new piston and rings put in it by an old bloke in a country service station somewhere central NI...still runs now...as it should...

    Check out this bike,

Owner by the name of Bazza, met him in Kennedy Bay New Years 2009. Fecking thing was held together by tape but still ran sweet. Had seen the majority of this country in the 20+ years it has been alive and still does the coro loop, although it does take him 12 hours.

If you look carefully you will see the 3" bent nail on a bit of string that he uses to start the bastard.....

I'm sure I heard it say 'Fuck off you' as I approached it for a sit down.

Classic piece of vintage crap, but still running....
