Question Which Motard for short legs?

Hi everyone, Im thinking of getting a motard, but it seems not much motard can fit my legs, (or the other way around), anyway, is there any bikes are less vertically challenged can fitted my legs?
Im about 5'8 and currently happy with the height of my GSXR600, any idea or sugguest on the motard?

and some say many motard can be lowered to fit some short legs, but will that impaired the performance or the handling of the bike like the sports bike?

    Thanks in advance.

Dont bother with lowering, you only need one foot on the ground. I'm 5'9" and had no trouble with the KTM 690SM

Yeah, I'm 5'7 and I ran a DRZ400 and now a XR650 all at std height and have no issues.

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.

Just make sure it has electric start. Kicking a bike over that you can't get both feet down on is fecking hard.

You're talkin' crazy Quasi, go for another fang on it, you'll be right.

As for the short leg motard, ..... um, ......., platform boots? Shop should be able to lower it for ya though, there's a crapload of travel on them.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

What's your budget!? The Ducati 796 Hypermotard and the Aprilia Dorsodoro both have relatively low seat hights. Both will give you the horn. The 796 has a lower seat height and is also lighter than the Dorso. The 796 is supposed to be arriving into NZ shortly - downside is that it will be around $19. I think the Dorso is around $18.

i am 5'8 , my height is 172 cm with shoes on, am also under 60 kg i ride a plated 525 exc with motards and dirt rims , with the dirts on i have no problems with riding and it is a lot higher on 21"/18" rims due to trye profile.
Ktm's are a high seat height . i do have a problem with kick starting big bore ktms due to comp / high kick start position and being a light ass , pro being a short light ass helps me heaps in top speed.
the drz 400 sm has a lower seat height but is heavier and alot slower and compared to a ktm big bore.

    ^^ Hilarious.
Anyhow was just looking for a thread about this.
I'm thinking about a Motard but as mentioned above they all seem so high in the seat. Currently as long as the seat is narrow I can comfortably ride something of about 820mm maximum.
Does the Motard world offer anything that would suit? Lowest I could find was the KTM690 at 900mm...!
