I imagine if sold with provenance, it can only appreciate. To concur with an earlier post I hope it stays in NZ. It is definitely a piece that would attract international interest if posted on ebay.

FFS - its the motorcycle equivalent of Colin Meads boot.

It was hand made by someone legendary and I for one would have it in a shots eye if I had the $$. I would pass it on to a grandson with some pride - why? Because it is a tohunga of kiwi motorcycling and lord knows we have fuck all of them.

This stupid lump of alloy may be worth $5 as scrap but it speaks the language of the heart and if you dont get that you never will and I feel very very sad for you.
