the ZXR A model is 140kg dry weight!!!
trust me man, my old POS GF250's are sposed to be 160 and the zxr is a lot lighter dry, but the higher tank positon makes it feel heaver with a full tank.
meh! im off to get drunk again (loves uni holidays)
Tristan stop being a ghey, get off you computer (let it rest from the eternal rapage you have been bestowing on it with CS101 work) and get your ass to shadows - would be good to catch up for a drink sometime

Gareth you fuckerI see zxr250C's being quoted at 141kg and some 'ZXRs' at 171kg while in the manual it specifically states the C's are 141kg as well. Nothing 'official' eg manual, states A's are 141kg (there is no information).
If ya can find it in a manual i'll believe ya
It might actually be the WET weight... not sure though.
how much is shippin of a bike from chch to tga? only a estimate?
so let me get this straight the a has more room?
they are both the same weight? or close enough...
the c looks better
and the c is faster?
any one here got a zxr and is about 6"2 and about 100kgs?
cause thats me and i want a c.. better bike but hopefully aint to big
oh and guys are crazy all good
john and alarumba seem to have something for each other tho![]()
Well I'm a lot smaller and lighter that that (more like 5'8 and 70kg) and am having no issues with mine regarding size/weight. If anything I'd say make sure your not going to be too cramped leg-wise.
I should start preaching about how good the CBR is like a ZXR riderOriginally Posted by stocky

You're practically screwed if you want comfort on a 250 sports bike. The CBR is smaller, but the ZXRs are only slightly better. From what I know a ZZR would suit a taller rider more. I'm about 6 foot and I have no trouble on the CBR though, but I don't really care about comfort cause I'm constantly shifting my weight on the bike
And Johns more into german porn than me, oh woe is me![]()
You're about the same size as me, trust me and get a cruiser. If you plan on doin some long rides almost any sporty 250 will be too small to stay comfortable the whole time. Unless you're small enough then a 250 sportbike wont be good for anything other than commuting.Originally Posted by stocky

Yes and no, both bikes (zxr/cbgayrr) are stupid little homos, they are small and cramped even for a short prick like me, I had a ZZR and to be honest It felt the same, they arent big, the ZZR has a bigger seat height but, although touring for long distance is no reall problem, on both I went to auckland a couple of times I could get there and back no trouble on both without major pain, but in the morning it hurts. simple as that.Originally Posted by alarumba
I reviewed the ZZR here (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=12313)
I would think that if you were larger your not going to be much better off on a ZZR or a crusier (the crusiers arent that much more comfortable) - I recon going and getting a motard or something - this might be a fun/better option.
I bet if I searched your computer you'd have some interesting shit.Originally Posted by alarumba
