    Very nice, great colour.

Love the bling too - arrow pipes, clutch cover, levers.

+1 for Duane - I took mt ST4s to him when I had it - good work, good price. Plus a mate with a Paso uses him also.

The 916 S4 was my first Duc....loved it so much I traded up to a S4Rs...then bought a 1098s and now hve a MTS1200....all from Casbolts.

I had an excellent run with my S4....

As far as Duc mechanics, Jim at Casbolts is as good as they get... and he's not a bad bloke either.

Which service are you up for?

And if you find the engine braking/rear wheel chatter too much, have I got a deal for you....I have a spare second hand EVR slipper clutch that may just fit.

    Highy recommended Ducati Mechanic

Hey there, I've just had my Ducati in for its 24K service - belts etc. I took it to Roger at Road and Race in New Brighton.
I have a friend who has used him in the past but I've always used Casbolts. I was really impressed with Roger, he was really thorough, he checked everything - he only replaced what needed replacing and his service was world class - nothing was too much trouble for him.
He stayed back late so that I could pick it up after work and he'd paid attention to the little details that are so important.
I really cant speak highly enough of this guy. My bike runs like a dream. I will definitely be taking my bike back to him.
After all the years of putting up with sub-standard customer service from casbolts (which was a shame because the mechanic at casbolts is also really good at what he does) I have finally found the right combination of great service and great mechanic. Very happy camper.

I have never had a Ducati but am thinking of getting one. I have also never had a bike that I have not managed to service/pull apart/rebuild myself. Ducati servicing costs a fortune so if I were you I'd get a manual and some good tools and just get on with it. It is not rocket science.

Servicing ANY bike costs a fortune.

    Not just Ducatis

And the design and extended service intervals of the new Ducatis actaully mean the costs are quite reasonable

That's why my bike doesn't get serviced (apart from the odd oil change, suspension upgrade, that sort of thing....)
The trick is to buy a bike that can put up with being owned (or is that "pwnd"?) by a fuckwit.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I know the feeling of pride in your new weapon of choice an wanting the best money can buy for it ........... but If your confident why not do all the little things like brakes an oil changes airfilter urself? At least you know its done right then.
Its time for mine to get the clearances checked an I hate the thought of anyone opening up my baby girl an fiddling with her while I'm not there
