Checking out a bike

I've been lurking on here for a while, got my learners months ago and have been saving up for a bike and keeping my eye on trademe.

I've found one but I live on the wrong island and even if I could check it out I wouldn't know what to look for.

Is there any chance someone could take a look for me in Mission Bay, Auckland?

Sorry can't help. But re the money it costs to get a bike, don't forget good riding pants, jacket, boots, gloves, a hi-viz and helmet. I was surprised how much this gear added to my bike purchase.

What bike? PM me, I'll get my husband to check it out if you like. Not too far away (half an hour if that). Also if any good, could ask in the bucket forum if anyone has room to take a bike down to Wellington (again, depends on which bike). We'll be full (I think), but others may be heading down for Easter.
