Which 600cc should I purchase?

When coming from a 250, wont be able to tell much difference in performance if they've all been looked after.

I took a 636 for a ride around the block once and then the next day a 600cc ninja and couldn't tell the difference haha. Both were leaps and bounds ahead of anything I'd ridden before.

You need to get some good riding experinence before you can tell which one is "better"

Like Gremlin said, think about the servicing, maybe you might wanna choose sometyhing with a dealer close to you.

Of course looks will play a part cos you're the one that has to walk up to it every day.

R6's have been bashed for being too "peaky" and having "no" midrange but that "non existant" mid range will be twice the power of your current bikes peak so I wouldn't worry about that either.

In short. Get the 636, screw worrying about the extra rego costs cos you'll have (in my opinion) one of the best looking bikes on the road.

I know r6's are a wee bit cheaper than a CBR and 636's are cheaper than an R6 but to be completely honest i dont like the thought of riding a Ninja.... its the 250 ninja's that screwed up that notion for me. so really its between the R6 and CBR600RR and yeah i do like the daytona but again the rego cost would be a bit more. hmmm SO many choices!!!

I'd definitely recommend trying to test ride or at least sit on as many as you can, and add the triump 675s (street or daytona) to the list. More torque, more than enough power, and you may find them more confortable as well.

So.... in a couple of months ill be able to purchase a 600, and im not too sure what make, (Yamaha, Kawasaki or Honda) model (CBR, R6, 636) or year to consider.

CBR 600RR 2007? R6? 636? any suggestions? whats the best value bike or best over all bike? I most likely wont be taking the bike on the track that often, im 6ft 70 Kgs, have around 3 years experience and yes, im only looking for a sports bike rather than a cruiser.

the best bike is the one that suits YOU the most, period. theres no generic answer. whats great for me will be shit for you. You need to go test ride everything you can. even stuff you think you wouldnt like, because once youre on the thing, your mind may well be changed quite quickly. You ned to test ride a range of brands, capacities, and years of bike, and assess the overall comfort, handling, 'fit' to your size, how well you riding style interacts with the characteristics of that particular bike etc etc etc. go riding, then ome back once you have 2-4 final options. enjoy the test rides.

I think you may be a little uncomfortable on a 600, have you sat on any in the show room? Put it on the stand and put your feet on the pegs, your legs will start loosing blood and you will have to call the sales person to come help you off

My old SV1000 was pretty roomy and more suited to taller people than I. My 600 fits just fine.

Also conceder a naked like the street triple if you are mostly a fair weather rider.

If you do consider an SV Thou. Mine is for sale. I found the GSXR 600, somewhat lacking in the go department. Try a GSxr 750, or the Triumph 675. A hell of alot more go than a 600 IMO.
