    What a great ride.
Monday 28th. We went to Hari Hari the first day. Stayed at the pub.
Tuesday. OverArthurs Pass to Ashley for the night.
Wednesday. Iinto Chch to get a new tyre for the 109, then over the Lewis Pass to Nelson for 2 nights. Mate rode his VRod to Murchison to meet us.
Thursday. Visited Talleys WOW Museum. It's really worth a visit.( Make sure you go out to the back shed.)
Friday ,Awee bit of drizzle around Queen Charlotte Drive to Picton, then Blenheim for the night.Good meal at the Marlborough Combined Club.
Saturday.Down to Chch to stay with friends.
Sunday.Had a look around Chch/Lyttleton. The television does'nt show how bad it really is. Send them a few $ if you can.
Monday.Headed south into rain. Gave up at Oamaru and got a motel. Soaked to the arse. 2 heaters and several hours and beers later all dry.
Tuesday.Lunch at Dunedin with son at Uni.,then home to Manapouri.
My observation about the traffic is that it would appear that the cops are obviously busy in Chch as we saw only a couple of them the whole trip. The traffic was really good. Everybody travelling at their own pace. No stupid driving. We were able to ride at our pace and not have to pass long lines of traffic being held up by slow drivers. We were able to enjoy the awesome roads the way we should.
Sorry I will have to find a 5 year old to put my photos on for me.

What's stopping you? Grab a mate and go do it. You don't even need to travel the whole island in one trip, allowing you to have more tiime in each place.

Have a wonderful time round the south island with your mate. I myself have done 2 south island trips, both my my boulevard m50. It was an incredible experience, especially doing one of the trips solo. Best thing I have ever done to date. And the Haast pass..... oooooo now that's a scruptious playground with heavenly stone chip seal!

Enjoy indeed. Jealous much right about now as I was planning on doing that again soon on my new love of my life the R6. Doh - shoulden't have bloody crashed it sould I?

The stunning roads will just have to wait til summer now. But what spectacular roads they are too.

Long story but I can't really ride any more. Things may change for the better with time.
