Its been a while! I feel i have to post, and that this should belong here, not the learner rider section as i am no longer a "learner" rider, although i am still always learning! ....
2 Weeks ago i passed my full test, and i have already got my "big" bike. I got a ER6n 2005 model, which i instantly love! Weve already had some time together (bit of a clean and some fixing of the chain) and i feel this bike is perfect for me. Not too much power but enough to keep me satisfied. I took everyones opinion and i test rode a couple of bikes (er6f, cb900, vtr1000) before i brought the er6n, which was also really fun, except for i didn't really realise that bike stores don't tend to like you test riding bikes without you wanting to purchase from them asap (maybe the fact that im a 21yr old female doesnt help either. I also realised that my next bike may well be the vtr1000, its just too much for me at this stage.
Im already thinking of little mods to do to my bike as its something i want to keep for a while, tail tidy, crash knobs (first on the list!) etc etc.
Its also taking me a while to get used to the seating position on the bike, it feels kinda weird turning corners but its comfertable in a straight. I know that if in a few months i decide its still a bit weird, i can purchase clip ons that will bring them lower and wider a bit?
Final note, i learnt how to tighten a chain this weekend!
