Embarrassed noob

Hey folks,
Would appreciate any help with the following issue i have.
I removed my back tyre in order to get a puncture replaced on my 250 Honda Hornet.
I removed it no worries but failed to take note of where the spacers were situated before hand. I came back after fixing the tyre and attempted to refit the tyre however when I tightened the axle bolt, the wheel would stop being able to spin freely. It seems to make the brake caliper rub onto the brake disc. Im guessing i've got some spacers in the wrong places or something?
Could anyone out there tell me in what order i should be putting all the pieces back together. Ive searched the internet for the manual but couldnt find in anywhere!!!

did you at any point prss on the brake lever while the wheel was out?

nup i didnt. the brake caliper fits back on easy enough. its not the brake pads themselves which are stopping the wheel from moving, its more the bottom of the caliper unit rubbing onto the middle of the brake disc.

Apart from juggling the spacers about (there cant be that many different ways) ... sneak a peek at another Hornet ...

Does the wheel spin freely if the axle nut is left loose? If it does, is it possible that either you or the shop who did the puncture repair took the sprocket carrier out of the hub and in the process the spacer that fits into the carrier bearing fell out?

hey yeah i tried going here before i posted on KB. but couldnt find any help on the matter the manuals for the 250 hornet that were put up there was badly translated from japanese. they made no sense!!!!

I'm not 100% sure with your model but the sprocket should be bolted to the carrier which should be able to be pulled out of the hub. In behind it will be some rubber dampers. There should be a spacer which fits into the sprocket carrier bearing from the inside.

thanks so much for sending me the diagram. I've put the bike together as per the pic and am pretty sure everythings in its right place. However the same problem is occuring. When i tighten the axle bolt the brake caliper rubs against the brake disc and prevents the wheel from spinning freely.
Can anyone pleeeeeeeeaaaasssssse give me some other suggestions???????

sis you actually ask on the hornet forum???are the pads rubbing or the caliper?

Firstly how do you replace a puncture? Take it out of one tyre & put it in another? (PT)

The brake caliper should be floating on a shaft so it can move across to line up with the disc. It may be gunged up and not moving to allow alignment
