Hiya Dave, fantastic to hear you are making good progress on the road to recovery (tho if WT keeps visiting you as described above I can understand why you are keen to get out of there as soon as possible!) Been thinking of you. My boyfriend Paul send his regards too.
Lovely to hear from you Shelia and glad you and your family can relax a bit now that Dave is feeling better.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a hymen
As everyone else has bet me to it, Welcome Sheila.
It's certainly great to hear things are progressing for you all.
It's certainly grand to know Dave is improving. My better half has been asking after his progress almost daily.
As Paul pointed out, feel free to use the amazing resource that is the KB community. We may all be as different as can be, but when one of our own is in need, is when you really see the true worth of this great bunch.
Stay strong Shiela, Andre and you have done a fantastic job. Not just in dealing with what is probably one of the hardest situations you're ever going to find yourselves in. But also in raising such a fantastic guy, who has become an invaluable(?) part of this community.
Oh and riff, about that whole walking on hands naked bit you did. You don't mind WT posting the pics do you? PLEASE...
side note: Has any stayed in touch with jrandom? Has he be told of what happened? He was down for the Wellington dinner we all attended. Talking of which I still haven't posted those pics.... talk about procrastination. *goes to hunt out cd*

MrCSL & I went and saw Dave this afternoon for a short vist (some other friends arrived who hadn't visited before), he was sitting up in a chair & had been for about and hour and a half! Yahooie!!
He was very, very tired & looking really pale. He's anaemic at the moment - hence the tiredness. Apparently he's getting ablood transfusion some time tomorrow.
Had a bit of a chat to Shiela & Andre who are both looking well and happy that he's doing so well. Andre commented that it was so amazing to think that Dave to has gone, in 14 days, from a state of not knowing if he was going to pull through on the day of the accident to sitting up and talking today.
We're so proud of ya Dave!!

MrCSL & I popped in yesterday (Sunday) again to visit Dave, he said he was feeling a bit down - I'm sure the anaemia would be contributing to that (along the whole situation of course). Matthew arrived with 2 of his boys while we there too.
Dave is such a sweetie - when we were saying 'Goodbye' he says to me: "Sorry I wasn't cery chatty." I assured him he doesn't need to be apologising at all!!
He hadn't had his transfusion when we arrived & wasn't sure when/if it was happening. He had also had a really bad headache earlier (according to Andre).
Hang in there Dave!!![]()

Hey Dave, you have an excuse, your body is slowing itself down to repair itself, you'll get through, hang in there and keep on the positive side. Your doing well.Originally Posted by Celtic_Sea_lily

Not long back from a visit to Dave.
Considering everything the bugger has been through, he's looking good. A bit tired on it. His haemoglobin count is low, so that's probably a reason. Also it is amazingly tiring lying around all day in hospital when there is stuff all to do.
He said that the Police have released his bike to the insurers for assessment and he's hoping it gets written off.
Dave has a cupboard full of chocolate, which he isn't currently in a mood to consume. When he gets his blood levels back on par and is able to sit up more, he plans to spend some time reading and devouring DVDs (his work has given him a DVD player).
Dave is able to get up and move around a bit but he is still far from his first marathon. But considering his state of health two weeks' ago, he is doing a pretty good job at recovery.

Hitcher - Thank you for your update on SC...
CSL printed off the DVD list from here and was taking it into to SC to have a look at... so he will have plenty to watch.
Once he can come online and PM those with the DVD's that he wants to watch...
I was pleased to hear that Paul knows who that fantastic inspired radiologist is. I have so often wanted to go downstairs and ask , but afraid they may have security remove me as another batshit relly with issues!!!
I think of the persistence that was shown by that radiologist in asking for repeated views until the culprit was found.
Please , next time you meet her? tell her she is often in my thoughts and a thousand thank yous are inadequate.
She was actually appologising for moving Daves broken arm so they could get a better shot because she was suspicious.Originally Posted by Sheila

ps - please appologise to Dave for me I've been a bit slack with visiting. Life has become - full....
Really wonderful news. We are all still sending out the good vibes & prayers for you , Dave.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Visited Dave today and he got up for a shower assisted by two sweet as Nurses. He's suffering...yeah right.
Great to see him up and moving. He's feeling down about the long term recovery of his right arm but hopefully things will keep improving.
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
Good to read Daves doing well, keep it up Big guy!!
Thanks for the update MD and Sheila.
Paul: Pass all our thanks on to the rediologist.
