I'm really pleased your going home, hospital is a gawd awful place, you'll get better far faster at home. Well done.

Just don't do the bartman and collapse in the hallway after you've been home from the hospital for 10 minutes!

Stay positive Dave, recovery can be very depressing, but you'll get there in the end!

Had nothing to do with the fact that you were so eager to get home and see what was left of your bike ("It'll be fixable") that you got out a little early

    I can't do it either

I so wish I could, but I need the money, so I have to stay at work.

    Good s#$t mate!

I was at the Hospital today and went into the main building in an attempt to find out where Dave was - got completely lost! Thought he was in ward 4 but the guy at the counter said there isn't a ward 4 anymore :-) Didn't help not knowing his last name :-(

Yup he's still the same place - level E, room 4...although maybe not for much longer! I popped in tonight and he's really looking forward to going home, either tomorrow or Friday!

Yup, this weekend he will be sleeping in his own bed!!

Mikey - you will need to stay in touch with Sheila or Andre, as I said and Cath mentioned either 11am tomorrow or Friday. None of us know yet.... but which ever day it is, it will be a good day

I dove on in to see Dave today (yesterday). Hes definitely gonna be out for the weekend. He looked like a tireder version of his normal self.
He did comment that this threads gonna take him a bloody week to wade through when he gets to a Puter.
Hmm heres an Idea --maybee a welly KBer can print off a copy and deliver it to him in hard copy

This thread is long Dave but it is full of good people wishing you well. I am sure it is not necessary to reply to the messages here. You have done that by healing. You have made a difference and made this K/B group closer and stronger. Rest Rest Rest and you will keep the recovery going. And to your Mum and Dad... Thanks for working with the K/B family and letting us in to see Dave. You two Rock.

    Cool

    Stonechucker,
Now all you have to do is rest and lay around on the couch watching DVD's and telly. Oh and playing on the Playstation 2 or reading heaps on Kiwibiker...

The best news is that you are now home.

When you are off your meds/painkillers then you can have a few of these.

I have a South African DVD that I want to send to you that will definately provoke a giggle or two. Please PM me your address.
