MrCSL & I popped in yesterday (Sunday) again to visit Dave, he said he was feeling a bit down - I'm sure the anaemia would be contributing to that (along the whole situation of course). Matthew arrived with 2 of his boys while we there too.

Dave is such a sweetie - when we were saying 'Goodbye' he says to me: "Sorry I wasn't cery chatty." I assured him he doesn't need to be apologising at all!!

He hadn't had his transfusion when we arrived & wasn't sure when/if it was happening. He had also had a really bad headache earlier (according to Andre).

    Hang in there Dave!!

Hey Dave, you have an excuse, your body is slowing itself down to repair itself, you'll get through, hang in there and keep on the positive side. Your doing well.

Not long back from a visit to Dave.

Considering everything the bugger has been through, he's looking good. A bit tired on it. His haemoglobin count is low, so that's probably a reason. Also it is amazingly tiring lying around all day in hospital when there is stuff all to do.

He said that the Police have released his bike to the insurers for assessment and he's hoping it gets written off.

Dave has a cupboard full of chocolate, which he isn't currently in a mood to consume. When he gets his blood levels back on par and is able to sit up more, he plans to spend some time reading and devouring DVDs (his work has given him a DVD player).

Dave is able to get up and move around a bit but he is still far from his first marathon. But considering his state of health two weeks' ago, he is doing a pretty good job at recovery.

    Cool

Hitcher - Thank you for your update on SC...

CSL printed off the DVD list from here and was taking it into to SC to have a look at... so he will have plenty to watch.
Once he can come online and PM those with the DVD's that he wants to watch...

    About that radiologist

I was pleased to hear that Paul knows who that fantastic inspired radiologist is. I have so often wanted to go downstairs and ask , but afraid they may have security remove me as another batshit relly with issues!!!
I think of the persistence that was shown by that radiologist in asking for repeated views until the culprit was found.
Please , next time you meet her? tell her she is often in my thoughts and a thousand thank yous are inadequate.

She was actually appologising for moving Daves broken arm so they could get a better shot because she was suspicious.

Funnily enough her partner (colleague) has just bought his first bike and getting into riding..

I will pass on your thanks.

    Paul N

ps - please appologise to Dave for me I've been a bit slack with visiting. Life has become - full....

Really wonderful news. We are all still sending out the good vibes & prayers for you , Dave.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Visited Dave today and he got up for a shower assisted by two sweet as Nurses. He's suffering...yeah right.
Great to see him up and moving. He's feeling down about the long term recovery of his right arm but hopefully things will keep improving.
