Yeah if it was a wapiti/red , could of been a very different story. Fallow spikers are not too bad, I hit one on the XL in the rankleburn forest.

was he tasty?...... most of the encounters I hear about , the deer always seem to disappear pretty quick ,never to be seen again.
Even helped one night south side of the lindis pass looking for a deer that a tanker had swiped on the passenger side as it ran across, ...probably still running

There are more deer in the USA now then there were before the White Man(TM) arrived. They love suburbia and farmland on the prairies, without mentioning a massive decline in the numbers of wolves and coyotes. They have little respect for motor vehicles, particularly motorcycles.

Doh! The stuff that buys me beer
Ray, the guy who sells me beer
Me, the guy who drinks the beer
Far, a long way to get beer
    So, I think I'll have a beer
La, la, la, la, la beer
Tea, no thanks I'm drinking beer
And that brings us back to Doh!

And then find cop hitting deer.

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.
