Certainly worth a look mate, I'd recommend GPS files for a smooth trip, there are lots and lots of side tracks for powerline maintenance that can lead you up the garden path. Clumsy thumbs I accidentally deleted my route file when clearing my log, needless to say I had a few interesting detours, but in saying that by doing so I found some gnarly steep loose rutty tracks in the back, lots'o'fun

Pouring hours into getting the interactive Google map functioning nicely, very close though my friend. I have a swag of GPS files and routes to add, should have her up for public viewing/testing within the next 3 to 4 weeks

Yeah, pity about the timing mate, there were plenty of trout with your name written all over them. Got an Easter trip in the planning stages, aiming for something a little gnarly, will keep you posted with the details

Before winter forced the closure of some of the Otago High Country tracks three of us ventured down south for one last ride. With being so close to winter and having two good snow dumps a few weeks prior there was a chance this trip could have been cancelled however the weather treated us very well making for a brilliant weekend... pics as below

Heading up Saint Bathans

Accomodation for day 1

Heading out the next morning after some serious rain over night

Only 20 minutes into the ride the cloud began to burn off followed by sun and warmth

Heading up the Awakino zig zag

Our 5 star accomodation for day 2

Look at that, we found the Fiordland Moose!

Heading through to Ida Valley

The penalty for error on some of these sections was plainly obvious

Hi Chris, yeah it sure is a great place, one of my favourites. I GPS logged this ride and others nearby and will have the files available for download in around 2 weeks when the adventure website goes live, will keep you posted, cheers
