This might shed some light on it. Did a quick google search on ZX-2R and only came up with ZX-(1)2R and a lot of links to ZXR250's. I did however find this pic which by all appearances is the original of what you've got.

Radial brakes and twin zorsts i think not. If you have a zxr to modify and about $10k to chuck at it you could modify a zxr250 to look like that
